Meet the Band
PAYTON
LAUGHLIN - Lead Vocals, Conga's, bongo's.
Payton has appeared in movies and been singing from a
very early age. He's had professional training as a singer, and a dancer
as well competing in dance competitions. His vocal range allows him to
perform many different styles of music from the soulful sounds of the
seventies to contemporary and modern rock.
*****
NATHAN CREEL - Lead Guitar, Vocals
Nathan started playing guitar around the age of 12.
His training included professionals from Musicians Workshop in California.
His styles allow him to play the laid back sounds of Jack Johnson, to the
complicated riffs of Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani. Nathan also sings
harmonies and lead vocals.
(Nathan when he was first starting out)
*****
MIKE
ZINSKIE - Bass, lead guitar, piano,
background vocals, and more....
Mikey is the energetic one. Mike has
appeared in movies with Will Smith and Matt Damon. He is also a
professional dancer. His musical talent and creativity is one the band
always enjoys, as do others that listen to him. Mikey is the driving force
behind the band.
*****
RICK CREEL - Drums (and if he sings, he's out
of the band).
The oldest member of the band grew up with music.
His mother was a music teacher. He started on piano then moved to
trumpet. He later joined a band in the 70's to play the bass. Since TGI
was formed he has been on drums. His rounded knowledge of music
allow him to be limitless in the forms of music
that he enjoys. It also helps him to keep up with the younger guys.
(Rick when he played back in the
70's. A lot has changed since then.)
*****
Monty Poston - Keyboards
and Vocals (Sorry
we don't have a picture. He's really old, but you can see him at your
local post office under "MOST WANTED" - JUST KIDDING!!!)
If you want the Full
Montyversion of the bandwe throw Monty in, but at a cost. Monty said
his desire for music came from being poor and having to eat. Actually, he
comes from a family of musicians. He started playing guitar at age 13. In
1960 he was in a band in Germany playing Rock and Roll, as it was
called then. He's had over 40 years in the music business. Light jazz,
dinner music, and vocals are what he adds to the band. Influenced by the
greats like Bill Haley and Elvis, Monty helps keep the step in the dance
tunes while adding his own flair.
