Carolina, the band travels where ever they are needed. From ski resorts to
fund raisers, wedding receptions to disaster relief (just a little pun
there), the band is able to bring excitement and fun to any event.
Have we forgotten? It was only August 29, 2005,
when Hurricane Katrina struck Louisiana. Not even a year and yet how easy
it is to forget the devastation. That is, unless you lived in the wake of
the storm.
Sometimes, because so much is happening in the
world, we tend to forget about disasters that have happened here at home.
The tendency may also be that we think everything is back to normal. But
for the folks of Louisiana and Mississippi, it will take a few more years
before things will be back to normal.
But it's not over and you can help! On May 6, 2006,
in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, there will be a fund raiser for the
Katrina Relief Fund. Now get this: FREE Seafood!!! Can you believe it?!
Not only is the food FREE, but you will have the opportunity to dance to
the sounds of The Great Imponderables. The event will last from 12:00pm to
4:00pm.
Now although this event it TOTALLY
FREE and open to the public, we don't want you to miss its purpose. There
will be contribution points for you to make donations to the Katrina
Relief Fund. All proceeds go to that fund to help the victims of this
disaster.
This event is presented by Capt.
Paul Willis. He lost 3 of his own fishing vessels in this disaster. He has
since moved to Tennessee and helped employ and provide for many more
victims of the hurricane. This event will benefit still others.
So, as they say here in the south, "It ain't over till
its over!"
Come on out and join us for an afternoon of great food, good music, and an
opportunity to help out our friends affected by this terrible storm.
And spread the word!!!

the #2 pencil is the best selling pencil, why is it still #2?"
