On October 6, 2007, some very special people were married. What makes it so special is that they are our dear friends. |

Where does one begin? We just got our pictures back
yesterday. As I was looking over them my eyes welled up with tears. It
wasn't that long ago when our families first met the Froystad's. BJ was just
a little older than my son at the time (about 5 years). Each of these boys had a very unique personality. BJ's father, John, worked for the US Forest Service. BJ was an outdoor kid for sure. My son, Nathan, was probably a little more shielded by his mother and I. However, the two personalities met well together. It was as if one would almost help to balance the other one out. Together, they would both mature to fine young men. I still remember the tricycles, to bikes, to mountain bikes, to skateboards, to snowboards, then their own wheels (gas powered and requiring a drivers license). These guy's did so much together. How did they become young men. I never grew any older myself. Sure, I lost some hair on my head, but these guy's are just kids, right? I guess not. After cars came girls. Although that word is plural, there was never more than one that had BJ's attention. We'd all go snowboarding or mountain biking together. Yeah, they even let me, the old guy, tag along. I really did enjoy it. Thanks for letting me play too. But I knew it was more than just a mountain biking trip when BJ bought Danielle a real mountain bike (not like the one's at wally-world). Things were getting serious. What was I supposed to do? Sit back and watch this kid that grew up to be my friend take of with some girl I hardly knew? Really, what could I do? She is a beautiful girl coming from a nice family. All I could do was hope for the best. Then it happened. They announced their engagement. Next came the wedding. Now the two of them will have a life together. I'm just glad that BJ has his own business here and that Danielle will now be joining us. Who knows, I guess if I live long enough, perhaps I'll be able to see more little Froystad's running around (that's not a hint guy's, take your time). Then perhaps I'll see more little kids, growing up to be my friends. Thanks you guy's for allowing our family to be a part of your lives.
