Band Crashes

Playing live music, staying out with the band, isn't all it's supposed to be. Oh sure, it sounds glamorous; private parties, wedding receptions, corporate events, concerts. But it is hard work! Especially is this the case after a night of practice getting ready for the next live performance, staying out with friends, and then going mountain biking the next day.

OK. The mountain biking might be stretching it a little. But the bands guitarist, Nathan, just had to go to Pisgah (near Brevard, NC) with his buddy BJ, from Cashiers, NC. They did a trail behind the fish hatchery that's closed all summer. Then, Nathan did a big ENDO, which by the way, BJ said was awesome. Now Nathan comes home crying that his butt hurts. So tell us, "Why didn't we want to go with you again?" The last time I went with Nathan, we had to practically carry him out, hike back in to get his bike, then haul him to the hospital in Brevard. Seems he still has trouble staying on his bike. I guess we should be thankful he can still play his guitar.

In all honesty, Nathan isn't the only one that crashes. Seems like everyone in the band loves outdoor sports. Mountain biking, snowboarding, long boards, skate boards, surfing, and I'm sure there's more that I forgot to mention.

All the band members love to snowboard. In fact, they make their own snow.  Not for themselves though. What did you think, we're rich or something? Continue Story

Practice Makes Perfect

Just another manic Sunday (or was that supposed to be Monday). Time for the band to practice, again. This week we're in our small studio in Cashiers, NC.   We're adding to our song list this week. More classic oldies like "Come Go With Me, Just My Imagination,  Proud Mary," and "My Girl" Continue Story
