Live Music for Weddings, corporate,
and special events in the Carolinas
Bele Chere is a huge
music festival and more in Asheville, NC. Read about the bands efforts to
be a part of this special event in the beautiful mountains of Western
North Carolina.
"When a cow
sneezes, does milk come out its nose?"
Bele Chere is a
huge street festival in Asheville, NC. This year it will be from July
28-30. The festival takes place on the streets of downtown Asheville.
There are 5 music stages where many different bands from all genre's of
music play. They also have many unique vendors, displaying their wares
for you to purchase or just be amazed. There are some amazing street
performers that appear that are sure to amuse both young and old alike.
Other activities are available. Check with
Bele Chere's web site for more
information about this special event.
The reason our band is
interested in Bele Chere is the music! Ton's of music ranging form
Bluegrass to Fusion, Folk to Zydeco, and of course, Rock! No matter what
your taste in music, you are bound to hear something you like. It's a
cornucopia for musicians from all over the country.
We have been busy
recording a CD to send in to be a stage performer for this special event.
Our regular CD of our own originals will not be ready until the spring to
send to event coordinators. So, we have to record on our own which
includes many cover songs. We hate to do things this way, but professional
recording takes months. We can record in our own studio for demo's, but we
don't have all the equipment (nor space in my basement) for all the
professional equipment, yet (hope my wife doesn't see this).
Recording music is a
pain. If you've never done it before, be prepared. Sure, you think you
sound good during a performance, and most likely you do. But during
recording, you get to see how many mistakes you, and the rest of the
guy's, really do make. A simple song may have several takes. Then there's
editing, splicing things together so you sound perfect. Truth is, most
people will never know the mistakes you've made, but you will. And you
want your CD to be perfect. Even if it does mean playing that stupid fill
or riff for the 25th time.
To the Bele Chere
guy's: When you get our sample CD, remember; it's just that. The
professional recording is not due till spring. What you hear on our sample
CD is exactly how the band sounds (I hope it's good).
We look forward to the
opportunity of returning to Asheville to play. We have already played at
the
Asheville Civic Center for the Foster/Adopt Fall Festival.
Asheville is a neat town in a beautiful mountain setting. It has a rich
history and a lot of talent. We hope that we can become a part of
Asheville and Western North Carolina's music talent. Playing at Bele Chere
will help us to accomplish just that.
